Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our dance socials, Bachata and Salsa evenings, and Galway retreats for active retirees
Not at all! Many of our participants come solo, and we rotate partners throughout the evening so everyone gets to dance with different people. It's a brilliant way to meet others in your community while learning together.
Absolutely not. Our Bachata and Salsa community evenings start from the fundamentals, and we've taught hundreds of retirees who'd never danced before. Most people pick up the basic steps within the first 3-4 sessions, and the beauty of it is you'll be having fun from day one while you learn.
The weekly socials in Cork and surrounding areas are regular meetups perfect for ongoing learning and community building. The Galway dance retreats are immersive experiences by the coast—usually 2-3 days where you can deepen your skills, make new friends, and really focus on the dance without the usual weekly commitments. Think of it as a mini holiday combined with focused dance learning.
Our weekly socials are very affordable—typically around €8-12 per session depending on your area. Galway retreats vary based on the package you choose, but we're transparent about all costs upfront. There are no surprise charges, and we offer information sessions if you want to chat through options before committing.
Yes. Dance is actually excellent for mobility and joint health when done properly. Our instructors are trained to offer modifications for different fitness levels and physical needs. We encourage you to chat with us about any specific concerns—we can adapt the experience to suit you and show you how to move in ways that feel good for your body.
Our weekly socials run throughout Cork and surrounding areas, typically on Thursday and Friday evenings. Specific dates, times, and locations are available on our website, and you can easily find the session that works best for you. We're always adding new locations based on demand, so reach out if you'd like to know about options near you.
